As one of the persons working on this feature I am obliged to say “no” but am interested in what other people think.
Joking/not-joking ![]()
I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Teia, is in fact, HEN/Teia, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, HEN+Teia. Teia is not an marketplace unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning art ecosystem made useful by the Tezos Blockchain.
Ah yeah, for sure. That’s actually an issue we really should be talking about more, tbh, because it’s kind of unclear about how people think or feel about - but at least we have a mechanism for getting these sorts of discussions going now ![]()
oh, it’s an old copypasta about an off topic lively debates that come up so often they have to be banned from discussions to not interfere and constantly derail things. It seemed like a fitting thing to get out of the way early, but I don’t disagree.
More seriously, I am happy to see this integrated so more people know about it. So many discussions surrounding votes get lost and I think there will be a bit more intentionality when pulled away from the algorithms and character limits.
well, something to bear in mind is you’d need to monitor it for offensive and also malicious posts (ones which might lead to scam sites etc). So that’s a danger / risk / hassle
for sure. Well if usage gets to that point where we are having those sorts of issues come up, we already have a plan to switch over to an on-chain version where it should curb spam and bots quite a bit. But at least we have something for now - a lot of the team thought it was overkill so we decided with an easier solution for now.
